All Esautomotion CNCs and products, combined with the Esa4to5 Suite, are officially compliant with Industry 5.0 requirements.

Industry 5.0 is the evolutionary concept of Industry 4.0, bringing with it a new vision of the relationship between technology, environment and human beings. While Industry 4.0 was focused on the digitalization, interconnection and automation of production plants, Industry 5.0 focuses instead on a further level consisting of sustainability, human-centricity and resilience.

Energy saving is one of the fundamental pillars of Industry 5.0 with regard to sustainability.

The DNSH principle

DNSH is the acronym for “Do No Significant Harm” and is a principle introduced by the European Union for the implementation of the Next Generation EU and the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). It requires that any intervention, project or reform financed with European funds (such as those of the PNRR) must not cause significant damage to the environment as established by EU legislation.

To access European funding, the National Recovery and Resilience Plans (PNRR) must include interventions that allocate at least 37% of the resources to the ecological transition, strictly respecting the DNSH principle.

To support the achievement of this objective, the Italian Transition Plan 5.0 provides for the granting of a tax credit in favor of companies on condition that they adopt the DNSH principle and achieve a reduction in energy consumption of at least 3% for the production structure or, alternatively, of at least 5% of the process affected by the investment.

In particular, the reduction of energy consumption must come from investments in tangible and intangible assets functional to the technological and digital transition of companies.

To access the tax credit, not only the requesting company must issue the DNSH declaration but also all its suppliers.

Esautomotion and the DNSH declaration
.

First among all in its sector, Esautomotion has decided to obtain the certifications necessary to issue the DSNH declaration. In order to offer a higher profile service and an important competitive advantage to OEM customers.

All internal production processes have been reviewed and optimized in terms of minimizing energy consumption and environmental impact. Likewise, Esautomotion suppliers have been asked to issue a similar DSNH declaration.

It was a long and complex process, which began months ago” – stated Andrea Senzolo, General Manager of Esautomotion – “We had to rethink our production and R&D strategy as well as our supply chain, previously aimed at seeking maximum efficiency. Today we are able to issue the DSNH declaration on all our products: CNC, motors and drives, helping to put our OEM partners in the position to offer machines and systems that fully meet the requirements of Industry 5.0”.

The advantages for a company, including ours, go beyond this” – adds Senzolo – “Companies that demonstrate compliance with DNSH criteria can be more attractive to ESG investors (i.e. Environmental, Social, Governance), obviously attentive to the environmental sustainability of their business. Furthermore, the image of a company towards stakeholders is indisputably strengthened, as the environmental issue is increasingly felt, as for example in Northern European countries”.

But, in the end” – concludes Senzolo – “we also did it for ourselves, as environmental and social responsibility is one of the founding values of Esautomotion
