Esautomotion and the University of Modena together for the development of automation systems of the future.
The start of the collaboration between Esautomation and the HiPeRT Lab (High-Perfomance Real-Time Systems Laboratory), a spin-off of the University of Modena, has been made official.
Founded in 2012 at the University of Modena and directed by Prof. Marko Bertogna, the HiPeRT Lab involves more than 40 young researchers who develop algorithmic solutions and software for high-performance real-time systems, which also find applications in industrial automation
The HiPeRT Lab will initially support Esautomotion in two projects:
- feasibility study for the development of the hardware part of the future CNC series
- development of a new software for the optimization of the bending sequence which, thanks to the self-learning functions of the AI, collects and incorporates the multiplicity of rules defined by various users, eventually replacing the current rigid pre-compiled data DBs.
“HiPeRT Lab is involved in several European and industrial projects in sectors such as automotive, avionics and of course industrial automation” – said prof. Marko Bertogna – “I am happy for the start of this collaboration with Esautomotion because I strongly believe in technology transfer between universities and industry to encourage and promote the design of real-time systems of the future”.
“The HiPeRT Lab is a real hotbed of talents, the competence and passion of its young researchers are truly extraordinary” – underlines Andrea Senzolo, General Manager of Esautomotion – “As Esautomotion we are enthusiastic about being able to support the universities of the area, strengthening the interconnection between the workplace and the academic world on ad-hoc projects that can also represent an opportunity for us to broaden and change the way we think and design”
